Chamber Strings

Students will strengthen their instrumental skills & ensemble playing through focused study of instrument technique, musicianship, & preparation of ensemble music. Small sectionals will provide tailored support in the preparation of assigned parts, culminating in a virtual performance.

Program Highlights

Classes divided by age and experience level for a tailored experience
Cultivate and reinforce musicianship skills
Develop technical skills with small sectional rehearsals
Program includes one, 30-minute lesson per week to work with faculty on material in preparation for final project

Sample Session Schedule:

8:30 - 8:40am: Welcome & Warm-Up
8:40-9:10am: Instruction Block
9:10 - 9:25am: Break
9:25 - 9:55am: Sectional Break Out Rooms
9:55 - 10:00am: Full-Group Wrap-Up

Session I: July 6 - 16 (9 classes)*
- Afternoon Session I: 1:00 - 2:30pm
- Includes two 30-min lessons (1 per week)
- Includes summer instrument rental

Session II: July 19-30 (10 classes)
- Afternoon Session II: 1:00 - 2:30pm
- Includes two 30-min lessons (1 per week)
- Includes summer instrument rental

Tuition
- Session 1: $260 (9 days)
- Session 2 $280 (10 days)
- $20 one-time registration fee
- Tuition includes two (2) private lessons per session AND summer instrumental rental + insurance
